Lakewold Gardens
Documentary Film Remastering Project:
Where the Blue Poppy Grows

The Lakewold Garden project involves the remastering of their award winning film, Where the Blue Poppy Grows, into DVD format. Originally presented in the early 90's in VHS format by the Greater Tacoma Community Foundation and the Friends of Lakewold, Where the Blue Poppy Grows highlights Mrs. Eulalie Wagner and her contributions to Lakewold Gardens. The remastered version adds a 6 minute introduction to the film. Located in the Lakes district south of Tacoma, between the Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier, Lakewold is the last of what once were many grand garden estates. It has been a garden for almost a century, almost as long as Washington has been a state.
