Women of the Native Hawaiian Community in Washington State Exhibit

This exhibit is a groundbreaking project that presents the invaluable contributions of Native Hawaiian women in Washington State for the past 200 years. As the first Asian immigrants to work in large numbers in this state, their experiences were often difficult and overlooked. This exhibit celebrates the vibrancy that Native Hawaiians women have brought, and continue to bring, to our state. It also preserves their stories and histories through oral histories and digital footage.
