Suffer for Beauty:
Revealing Washington Women’s History through the Study of Undergarments

White River Museum produced a model PowerPoint program designed to be customized to reflect historic women from different communities and geographic areas. Organizations can produce and share a quality and highly entertaining program on women’s history. While exploring the history of women’s underwear and the story of what women hve done to accommodate the changing norms of beauty, the audience will be learning about the lives of women in the past and contributions made by them. Also included is a teacher’s resource package.
