The home of Julia Butler Hansen was deeded to the Wahkiakum Community Foundation by Julia's son, David. It has been renovated and is open to the public for tours and other events. The home is full of political mementos and belongings from three generations of remarkable women, with a garden still cultivated by David in the traditional English style so loved by his mother. Here one can glimpse a sense of her life, so full of accomplishment and yet rooted in her proud pioneer family story.
